These are collection of monkey pictures that I've shot in the past. What I love about them is the human-like expression in their poses. This is a little different from the usual wildlife shots. On that day, even the monkeys at Mount Jerai here seems a little subdued. Or were maybe full from the food I provided them as to lure them to stay nearby for awhile. When they are quiet, it is easy to photograph them, especially close ups. This is when you can observe them sometimes displaying human-like emotions and expressions. But despite that, I still take precautions. Not too near and no sudden movements that can surprise them.
Oh such beautiful photos. I have to admit that I am envious of your ability to capture these little guys. They are perfect, I rarely see much of anything besides squirrels and an eagle or two in my area. There are deer and elk and lots of domestics such as cows and sheep not really very exciting..LOL I love looking at your work..
ReplyDeleteAlfandi, were they in cages? I used to have a monkey when I was a young girl. They are very humanlike and make wonderful pets when trained. Ours was a small Capuchin monkey. These are gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteno..this is at the jungle..
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan.. I miss those cute chipmunks from NH..
ReplyDeleteReally, really great images. Love the expressions that you captured. I have read that they can be very dangerous and will attack as a pack. Is that correct?
